The Allegany/Garrett Counties Volunteer Fire & Rescue Association met on May 15, 2022, for our monthly meeting. During the monthly meeting, the membership present, unanimously voted to endorse Jonathan Dayton, a candidate for Allegany County Commissioners.

Jonathan is currently a member at both Potomac Volunteer Fire Company & Baltimore Pike Volunteer Fire Company along with being a member of the Allegany County Fire Police. Jonathan has always been a major supporter to the volunteer fire & rescue services in Allegany County. He has the proven ability to lead and support the need for volunteer services in both Allegany & Garrett Counties from his leadership within the association and from his appointment of the Maryland Governor’s Emergency Management Advisory Council along with his membership of many other health boards in the state. His dedication not only to our organization but within the volunteer service in our county makes him a perfect candidate for a seat in the county commission.

We thank him for his continued support and wish him best of luck with his candidacy and future endeavors.
