The Special Awards Committee will choose ten (10) LIVING OR DECEASED FIREFIGHTER/RESCUE SQUAD MEMBERS TO BE INDUCTED INTO THE HALL OF FLAME of the Allegany Garrett Counties Volunteer Fire & Rescue Association, to be awarded at the annual convention.
Name of individuals for nomination to the Hall of Flame should be received from the nominee’s home Fire Department/Rescue Squad or from any individual member of a Fire Department/Rescue Squad in good standing in the Allegany Garrett Counties Volunteer Fire & Rescue Association.
Nominations to the Hall of Flame may be presented by individual members of the Special Awards Committee.
To be eligible for admittance into the Hall of Flame, an individual must have shown outstanding service and dedication to his/her department, rescue squad, county or state association.
A brief history on why you have chosen a certain person to be inducted into the Hall of Flame should be included in your letter. (HISTORY MUST BE INCLUDED OR ENTRY WILL NOT BE HONORED).
Nominations must be sent/submitted to the Secretary of the Allegany Garrett Counties Volunteer Fire & Rescue Association no later than the meeting of the Association in May. IF MAILING, ENVELOPES TO THE SECRETARY MUST HAVE WRITTEN ON THE FRONT OF SAME – – – HALL OF FLAME NOMINEE.
The selection of nominees to the Hall of Flame will be made by members of the Special Awards Committee.
No more than one nominee shall be included in any one letter, providing you have more than one nominee to be submitted, send one letter for each nominee in a separate envelope.
At the top of the Page – – – THE NOMINEE’S NAME – – – DEPARTMENT- – – and INDICATION LIVING OR DECEASED.
NAMES MUST BE RE-SUBMITTED EACH YEAR NO HOLD OVER BY COMMITTEE.
- ALL EFFORTS SHOULD BE MADE FOR THE NOMINEE(S) OR HIS/HER REPRESENTATIVE TO BE PRESENT AT CONVENTION TO RECEIVE THE HALL OF FLAME CERTIFICATE.
- CHAIRPERSON OF THE SPECIAL AWARDS COMMITTEE WILL NOTIFY THE PRESIDENT OR A DEPARTMENT REPRESENTATIVE.
